This is an organization of national professional societies and associations representing noise control professionals. The INTER-NOISE conferences are a program of the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE). However, in years where INTER-NOISE is hosted in North America, NOISE-CON does not occur. The conference is held in different locations throughout North America annually. The proceedings from this conference are published by INCE-USA and can be found in the INCE-USA Digital Library: Institute of Noise Control Engineering (). While international contributions are encouraged, the primary focus of this conference is noise control in North America. NOISE-CON is an annual conference organized and run by INCE-USA. When INTER-NOISE is hosted in North America, INCE-USA is usually the organizer. INTER-NOISE occurs annually and its location cycles between three international regions: the Americas, Europe and Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. in those years, NOISE-CON does not occur.
